Office Visits

Do you provide house calls?

Yes.  We do house calls. This is a great service that people really enjoy.  People with multiple pets, mobility issues, and very busy professionals are among the many that benefit from house calls.

Do you provide in home euthanasia?

Yes we do.  We have a separate page for this service.  Please see our website for Home Euthanasia.

How long is a typical office visit?

We like to spend quality time with our clients.  Because of this an office visit or an exam for annual wellness care or initial sick care will likely be around 30 minutes per patient.  Medical progress visits (rechecks) may be shorter for less involved problems.  Our consultations are not limited in time, so very complex cases may take longer.

How far in advance do I need to schedule an appointment?

We can usually schedule an appointment requested within 24 hours.  Many times we can even fit you in on the same day.

Do you take walk ins?

We do accept walk ins if we have a doctor available.  It is usually best to schedule an appointment so we can guarantee that we will be able to spend quality time with you and answer all of your questions.

Do you accept drop offs?

Yes we do accept drop offs.  Drop off appointments are best accomodated when the pet is there at 8am.  This will give us ample time to attend to all pets that are admitted for the day.  Pets that are dropped off are typically available for pickup between 4pm and 6pm.

Pets

What species do you treat?

We treat a wide variety of  species of animals from dogs and cats, to birds, reptiles, small mammals, primates (monkeys), pot bellied pigs, and fish.  A common saying around the clinic is that if you can fit it through the door we will treat it, and sometimes even if you can’t!

Do you require that dogs be on a leash and cats are in carrier?

Yes we do.  This is for the safety of your pet as well as the safety of other clients’ pets.  Exotic animals should also be in a carrier.

Surgery

Do you do surgery?

Yes we perform a wide variety of surgeries ranging from spay neuter to mass removals, laceration repairs, amputations, orthopedic surgeries, exploratory surgery, and advanced dental surgery.

What time should my pet be at the clinic for surgery?

Pets should be at the clinic at 8am for surgery services.  If your schedule prevents you from dropping off at 8am we can board your pet overnight the night before the procedure.
